Telematic Systems Engineering Group (GIST)

The main research lines of the group focus on the work of providing telematic services in different application areas (e-government, e-learning, e-commerce, e-health, etc.) and heterogeneous media (mobile, television, computer ).

The main fields of interest of the group are the formalization of distribution systems, interconnection of heterogeneous systems, interoperability in distribution environments and content management systems, among others.

  • GIST projects, some of which are funded by the EU Framework Program, are implemented at local, national and European level, as well as in the United States. For its development, the group collaborates with the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and Universidad Simón Bolívar (Venezuela).
  • GIST members have articles in international journals, especially those that focus on e-learning. In addition, some researchers are part of the editorial committee of publications in this area.
