Breve CV
Mónica Fernández Barciela licenciouse en Ciencias Físicas (electrónica) pola Universidade de Santiago de Compostela en 1989, e doutorouse en Enxeñería de Telecomunicación en 1996, pola Universidade de Vigo. Bolseira FPI en 1990, desde 1991 é profesora do Departamento de Teoría do Sinal e Comunicacións e imparte docencia na Escola de Enxeñería de Telecomunicación de la Universidade de Vigo; desde 1997 en calidade de Profesora Titular de Universidade. Entre os anos 1992-1994 realizou diversas estadías de investigación no IAF Fraunhofer-Institut en Freiburg (Alemaña). As súas liñas de investigación principais son: modelado e caracterización lineal/non lineal de dispositivos activos de microondas e ondas milimétricas, deseño de circuítos integrados híbridos e monolíticos de microondas para comunicacións. Investigadora principal en 7 proxectos/ subproyectos nacionais, ademais de autonómicos e con empresas españolas e internacionais. Participou na NoE TARGET (VI Programa Marco UE) e codirixido 5 teses de doutoramento. Colaborou durante máis de 25 anos en tarefas de docencia na Universidade de Vigo; na anterior titulación de Enxeñeiro de Telecomunicación e no actual Grao en Enxeñería en Tecnoloxías de Telecomunicación, así como en cursos de posgrao. Foi subdirectora do Departamento de Teoría do Sinal e Comunicacións da Universidade de Vigo. Tamen foi presidenta do Capítulo Español Conxunto de IEEE correspondente ás sociedades MTT- S e AP-S.
