Multimedia Technology Group (GTM)

The group focuses its activities in the field of signal processing and maintains active lines of research in the areas of voice, acoustics and sound, image and video processing technologies

The research team of the University of Vigo (UVIGO) has a wide and proven experience (more than fifteen years) in the research lines of text-to-speech conversion (TTS) and automatic speech recognition (ASR) in the Galician and Spanish, and in the line of analysis and facial recognition (started more than 25 years ago). In these fields he has participated in a number of projects funded at European, national and regional level, in addition to various contracts with companies. As a result, this team has its own algorithms and software tools, which allows its adaptation to a new experimental framework in a short time.
