In recent years, the research work of the group has been focused towards the development of transverse methodologies for the personalization, recommendation and adaptation of contents, based on semantic technologies. In this area, the group has participated and directed pilot projects for the construction of tailored services in different areas of application, such as tourism, advertising, audiovisual content and educational content.
More recently, the interest of the group is also directed towards the combination of the power of the methodologies of semantic reasoning and those of social participation derived from the technologies of the Web 2.0.
The funding of these lines of research has been obtained through contracts with companies in the sector and, mainly, through research projects obtained in competitive public announcements of the Xunta de Galicia, the National R&D& I Plan of the Ministry of Science and Innovation, the PROFIT and AVANZA programs of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade, and the European Union through various programs.
