AtlanTTic is present in the 14th edition of the ranking published by the Spanish Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC), which evaluates a total of 76,000 Spanish scientists in Spanish or foreign institutions, or foreigners working in Spain. To make this list, the CSIC takes the data of the second week of February 2020 and takes into account the H index of the research profiles with the greatest impact, according to the citations generated in Google Scholar by their research papers.
The quality and research potential of attlanTTic is evident by having two of our professionals among the first 1,500 positions in the classification: Ramón C. Hermida and José Ramón Fernández. Without a doubt, this is a great recognition for the work carried out from the center.
Ramón C. Hermida, professor of Biomedical Engineering and director of the Bioengineering and Chronobiology Laboratory (LBC), atlanTTic research group, and an international reference thanks to his studies on nocturnal hypertension and cardiovascular risk, is ranked 491, with a factor of 65 H index and more than 13,000 citations.
José Ramón Fernández, also a member of the LBC, is in position 1,364 of this list, with a factor of 50 in the H index and more than 7,400 citations.
The classification includes ten other UVigo researchers in the areas of agri-food, chemistry, biology, agricultural economics and chemical engineering.
