This project addresses the need to reshape traditional teaching methodologies—based on passive information transmission—into forms that engage the “digital native” generation of students, who expect to take an active role in their learning.
By utilising Active Digital Learning Environments (serious games, interactive simulations, virtual communication platforms, etc.), it aims to foster skills such as critical thinking, creative problem-solving, intrinsic motivation, teamwork and collaboration.
The goal is to equip teachers to implement active learning methodologies—such as Project-Based and Problem-Based Learning—supported by an online platform incorporating digital tools that allow students to experiment, collaborate and communicate within an extended, multinational learning community.
The two main target groups of the project are teachers and students in secondary and vocational education.
