Work to be performed:
Development of the CFD component for the design and prototyping of a very low Earth orbit (VLEO) satellite platform with optical payloads and propulsion systems.
Functions to be performed:
- Configure and perform CFD simulations of satellite components to analyze interactions with residual flow and aerodynamics in VLEO, integrating subsystems, payloads, and the propulsion system.
- Verify aerodynamic behavior and heat transfer due to friction with the residual atmosphere, ensuring compliance with platform and payload requirements via CFD analysis.
- Design aerodynamic control strategies and assess fluid dynamics influence on subsystem, payload, and propulsion stability and thermal control.
- Ensure safety margins in VLEO based on CFD results and validate them through prototypes or models, documenting analysis and justification of aerodynamic and thermal design.
Required qualifications: Baccalaureate
Gross monthly salary: 1.200,00 € (including the apportionments of extra payments)
Workday: 20 hours per week
