Fixed-term contract: 3 months
Work to be performed:
Experimental research in quantum hacking against quantum communication systems.
Functions to be performed:
Specific responsibilities and tasks will include, among others:
– Read scientific literature in the area of quantum communications and quantum key distribution systems.
– Analyse the security of the source in these systems and develop methodology for its certification against imperfections.
– Implement an unambiguous-state-discrimination attack on a coherent-one-way quantum key distribution system.
– Author scientific publications that report own research.
Required qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees in Science or Engineering, like Physics, Mathematics, or Telecommunication Engineering. Knowledge of quantum mechanics, experimental quantum optics and quantum information; Previous experience in experimental security analysis of the source in quantum key distribution; Fluent English.
Gross monthly salary: 2.250,00 € (including the apportionments of extra payments)
Workday: 37.5 hours per week
