Telecommunications Engineer (Polytechnic University of Madrid, 1988) and Ph.D. in Telecommunications Engineering (Polytechnic University of Madrid, 1995). His research focus is on data networks (quality of service, traffic engineering, performance evaluation). He is co-author of three textbooks, co-author of around thirty research articles published in JCR-indexed journals, and author or co-author of about fifty conference papers. Additionally, he has supervised or co-supervised six doctoral theses.
