Miguel Rodríguez Pérez graduated as a Telecommunications Engineer in 2001 and obtained his Ph.D. in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Vigo in 2006. Currently, he is a professor at the University of Vigo in the Department of Telematics Engineering. His research focuses on improving the performance of technologies at the network, subnetwork, and transport layers of the internet architecture. Specifically, he works on enhancing congestion control mechanisms, developing and analyzing energy-saving mechanisms in various link technologies, and investigating new energy-efficient routing protocols. As a result of this work, he has published around thirty articles in international conferences and journals, many of which have a high impact factor in the JCR.
