The project aims to promote the acquisition of skills in the field of Internet of Things (IoT) by using digital fabrication laboratories, known as Fablabs. These laboratories provide a space where students, professionals, and companies can experiment with the creation and prototyping of IoT devices using advanced manufacturing technologies, such as 3D printing, laser cutting, and rapid prototyping.
Through this hands-on approach, the project seeks to provide the necessary skills to design, develop, and implement IoT solutions in key sectors such as industry, healthcare, transportation, and agriculture, among others. Furthermore, it aims to strengthen training in emerging technologies that are fundamental to the development of Industry 4.0.
The project also fosters collaboration between universities, research centers, and companies, creating an innovation ecosystem that drives research and development of new applications in the areas of smart networks and the Internet of Things.
