Workplaces are formidable centers of integration. However, not all workplaces are equally accessible to low-skilled migrant women, who as a result, are excluded from the unique integration process that work life offers. This project generates the necessary tools for public and non-profit entities to collaborate with the business sector to establish permanent networks that allow the integration and gender gaps to be closed once and for all.
Four non-profit organizations (Quid, Italy; Speak, Portugal; GEN2RED,United Kingdom; Interventions, Germany) will work with local employer networks and employment and integration specialists committed to making workplaces accessible to low-skilled migrant women.
With a tailored Engagement and Co-Design Thinking methodology developed by the Universidade de Vigo (Spain), EU Migrant Women Network (Belgium), and Impact Hub EU (Austria), the four NGOs will design and test best integration practices based on the workplace that support low-skilled workers and migrant women in four key areas of work life: Training and leadership, Life and community, Language and culture, Self-awareness.
Over 3 years, the action will implement and disseminate 4 pilots at the local level, directly involving 300 migrant women and reaching more than 30 for-profit employers and 450 EU integration champions in 1007 states, migrants, and local women through local networks. The network will act as a permanent and sustainable platform to promote exchange at local and transnational levels.
The activities carried out will primarily be compiled on the Thinklusion website, where procedures, inspiring models, and Design Thinking tools developed by a multidisciplinary team will be found.
