Sergio Herrería Alonso is a Telecommunication Engineer and holds a PhD in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Vigo, earned in 2001 and 2006, respectively. Currently, he is an associate professor at the University of Vigo and a member of the Telematics Engineering Department and the research group Network Laboratory. His research focuses on the analysis of quality of service mechanisms on the Internet and the design of more energy-efficient communication networks. In these areas, he has published over thirty articles in international conferences and journals, most of them with a high impact factor according to the JRC.
