edgeContinuum is a cloud infrastructure platform that enables enterprises, managed service providers, telecommunications operators, and organisations with their own infrastructure to transform their servers into a sovereign private cloud.
The platform delivers a public cloud-like experience for deploying and managing virtual machines, Kubernetes clusters, managed databases, and business applications, while allowing organisations to retain full control over their data, infrastructure, and costs. By unifying these capabilities within a single platform, edgeContinuum simplifies the adoption and operation of private, distributed, and edge cloud environments, reducing technical complexity and avoiding dependence on closed ecosystems or externally controlled platforms.
edgeContinuum originated from research carried out at the Universidade de Vigo’s atlanTTic Research Centre for Telecommunication Technologies in the fields of 5G, cloud computing, distributed systems, and edge computing. The project builds on this research to bring advanced cloud infrastructure capabilities to organisations seeking greater technological sovereignty, operational flexibility, and control over their digital infrastructure.
