Fixed-term contract: 4,5 months
Work to be performed:
Implementation of novel quantum communication systems, for fiber communication and compatible with free space and satellite communication. The idea is to have a system that is based either on QKD or direct quantum communication agnostic to the channel used.
Functions to be performed:
- Read scientific literature in the field of quantum communication and quantum key distribution (QKD) systems.
- Implementation of novel quantum communication systems in fiber and compatible with free space.
- Design and implementation of electronic cards for the system.
- Simulation of the behavior of the protocol in a fiber channel.
- Characterization and implementation in the system of the optical components, i.e. laser, single photon detectors, etc…
Required qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees in Science or Engineering, like Physics, Mathematics, or Telecommunication Engineering
Gross monthly salary: 2.250,00 € (including the apportionments of extra payments)
Workday: 37.5 hours per week
