Work to be performed:
Analyze the security of quantum key distribution implementations.
Functions to be performed:
- Read scientific literature in the field of quantum communication and quantum key distribution (QKD) systems.
- Analyze the security of QKD implementations, taking into account typical device imperfections.
- Design QKD systems more robust to the imperfections of their devices.
- Perform numerical simulations on the performance (i.e. secret key rate versus distance) of these systems as a function of the imperfections of the devices.
Required qualifications: PhD, preferable in the fields of Physics, Optics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
Gross monthly salary: 3.600,00 € (including the apportionments of extra payments)
Workday: 37.5 hours per week
