Duration of the contract: 2 months and a half (possibility of an extension).
Work to be performed:
Support in basic research activities at QOPHI LAB. Implementation of optical setups, development of measurement scripts in Python, and design of photonic integrated circuits (PICs).
Functions to be performed:
Support in the following tasks:
- Development and documentation of design methodologies for photonic integrated circuits (PICs), including design flows aligned with Design Kits/PDKs.
- Design, simulation and optimisation of integrated photonic components and circuits using CAD/layout tools, EDA tools and photonic simulation/mode-solving software.
- Development of Python scripts for the automation of optical measurements.
- Support in the setup of free-space optical experiments.
Required qualifications: High school diploma. Currently enrolled in the final year of a Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent.
Gross monthly salary: 900,00 € (including the apportionments of extra payments)
Workday: 18,75 hours per week
