Fixed-term contract: 3 months
Work to be performed:
Implementation of a novel QKD system, for fiber communication, that on one side can allow for lower needed characterization and on the other remain practical and with performances like the state of the art.
Functions to be performed:
Specific responsibilities and tasks will include, among others:
– Read scientific literature in the field of quantum communication and quantum key distribution (QKD) systems.
– Implementation of novel QKD system in fiber.
– Design and implementation of electronic cards for the system.
– Simulation of the behavior of the protocol in a fiber channel
– Characterization and implementation in the system of the optical components, i.e. laser, single photon detectors, etc.
Required qualifications: Bachelor degree, preferable in the fields of Physics, Optics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
Gross monthly salary: 2.250,00 € (including the apportionments of extra payments)
Workday: 37.5 hours per week
