Duration of the contract: Indefinite contract.
Work to be performed:
Investigate the security of practical implementations of device-independent quantum key distribution protocols.
Functions to be performed:
The specific responsibilities and tasks will include, among others:
- Reading scientific literature in the field of quantum communications and device-independent quantum key distribution systems.
- Developing both analytical and numerical security proofs for device-independent quantum key distribution protocols.
- Performing numerical simulations of the performance (i.e., the secret key rate versus distance) of these systems.
- Participating in seminars and scientific meetings.
- Writing scientific papers.
Required qualifications: PhD degree in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering or similar.
Gross monthly salary: 3.416,67 € (including the apportionments of extra payments)
Workday: 37,5 hours per week
