Manuel Caeiro Rodríguez is a Telecommunications Engineer with a Ph.D. (2007) from the University of Vigo. He is specialized in the development of web systems and the application of information and communication technologies to education, particularly in the field of educational modeling languages, process management systems, self-regulated learning, learning analytics, and open educational resources. He has participated in various research projects, including European (7), national (4), and regional calls. Between 2012-2013, he directed a research network funded by the Xunta de Galicia, which was renewed for an additional 2 years in 2014-2015. Regarding his collaboration with companies, he has been involved in over 30 contracts, transferring innovative technology, especially in the context of web applications and education support systems. Notably, he served as the Principal Investigator in four contracts with Gradiant in the field of Learning Analytics. He is also actively involved in the Spanish Chapter of the IEEE Education Society, where he served as president in the 2018-2019 period.
