Marta Gómez Araújo was born in Vigo in 1975. She received her degree in Telecommunication Engineering in 1999 and her PhD in Telecommunication Engineering in 2008, both from the University of Vigo. Between 1999 and 2000, she collaborated with the Department of Communication Technologies at the University of Vigo as a project engineer, and between 2000 and 2005, she worked as a radio frequency engineer at the telecommunications company Egatel S.L., focused on research and development of electronic devices applied to radio frequency and microwave systems. Currently, she is an associate professor at the University of Vigo and is part of the Antennas, Radio, and Optical Technologies research group in the Department of Signal Theory and Communications. Her research interests include numerical methods of computational electromagnetism applied to conventional, plasmonic, and metamaterials, electromagnetic compatibility studies, antenna design, and radar.
