Telecommunications Engineer and Ph.D. in Telematics Engineering from the University of Vigo, Associate Professor at the University. My research has always been related to modeling and performance analysis of communication networks and traffic engineering, although in recent years my interests have focused more on the application of social networks and gamification in education. I am a co-author of 15 scientific articles published in JCR-indexed journals (mostly Q1 and Q2, with an H-index of 8) and over 50 conference presentations. I have received 3 six-year research periods (1998-2003, 2004-2009, and 2010-2015) and have supervised or co-supervised 3 doctoral theses.
