Telecommunications Engineer in June 1991 and Ph.D. in July 1994, both from the University of Vigo. Full Professor since March 1996 and University Chair Professor since February 2002. As of September 2014, accredited with: the direction of over 100 R&D projects and contracts with companies and public organizations. Author of 92 articles in JCR-indexed journals and over 150 contributions to conferences; his scientific works have garnered over 1000 citations (Scopus), with an h-index of 17 (Scopus). He has supervised 5 doctoral theses. He has been awarded two international prizes: the PRACE AWARD’09 at the INTERNATIONAL SUPERCOMPUTING CONFERENCE ISC’2009 and the ITANIUM INNOVATION AWARDS 2009 in the “Computationally Intensive Applications” category, granted by the Itanium Solutions Alliance (Intel). His main lines of research are: computational electromagnetics, Fast integral equation methods, Multilevel Fast Multiple Algorithm (MLFMA), Method of Moments (MoM); metamaterials, plasmonics, biosensing, nanoantennas; radar imaging (ISAR) and radar Cross Section (RCS) measurements; electromagnetic compatibility (EMC, EMI, EMR).
