UNCOVER is focused on developing an efficient steganalysis framework to uncover hidden data in digital media. Its objective is to facilitate different European security agencies (or law enforcement agencies, in English Law Enforcement Agency, LEA) to detect information hidden in innocent-looking data that circulates in digital contours (text files, images, videos, audios), increasing its technological autonomy in the field of digital media steganalysis.
UNCOVER is oriented to the end user, who plays a desired role throughout the project cycle, responding to the real needs of LEAs to guarantee that the solutions developed can be integrated into their daily criminal investigation lines.
The project is coordinated by the Royal Military Academy of Brussels and supports the collaboration of a consortium made up of 22 partners from 9 countries including main European security agencies, forensic institutes, companies and leading researchers in this field belonging to universities and research institutes.
