She received her degrees in Telecommunication Engineering and a PhD in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Vigo in 2000 and 2006 respectively. Her final degree project won the Ericsson Award from the Official College of Telecommunication Engineers in 2002 in the category of wireless multimedia. In 2009, she was awarded the Marie Curie International Outgoing Fellowship, during which she conducted research at the Klipsch School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at New Mexico State University (New Mexico, USA), focusing on the measurement and characterization of propagation through frequency-dispersive media, waveform generation, and code usage in radar technology. Her research work encompasses radio wave propagation, radio communication systems, modeling of broadband radio channels, multimedia wireless systems, waveform design, noise codes, and radar. She serves as an associate editor and reviewer for various IEEE, IET, MDPI, Elsevier journals, and conferences.
