Soledad Torres Guijarro is a Telecommunications Engineer (1992) and a Ph.D. in Telecommunications Engineering (1996), both from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, specializing in Digital Signal Processing. Currently, she is an Associate Professor at the School of Telecommunications Engineering at the University of Vigo. Previously, she held postdoctoral research contracts funded by Parga Pondal (Xunta de Galicia) and Ramón y Cajal (Ministry of Education), and she has taught and conducted research at the University of Valladolid, Carlos III University of Madrid, Universidad Europea de Madrid, and Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. She has participated in 21 research projects funded publicly, including 4 European projects, serving as the principal investigator in 3 of them. Additionally, she has been involved in over 20 research contracts with companies, serving as the principal investigator in 4. She is co-author of 15 publications in international journals, 1 book chapter, holds 1 patent, has presented 44 papers at international conferences, and 12 at national conferences. Her research focuses on digital signal processing of audio and acoustic signals in general, with special expertise in underwater noise, voice and audio coding, and audio signal array processing.
