He graduated as a Telecommunications Engineer and obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Vigo in 1992 and 1997, respectively. In 1993, he conducted research at the ElectroScience Laboratory at The Ohio State University. In 1994, he began his teaching career at the Telecommunications School of the University of Vigo, where he currently holds the position of Full Professor. He also works as an advisor to the Navy on radar cross-section measurements and electromagnetic compatibility, serving as the national representative in corresponding NATO groups.
