Doctor in Telecommunications Engineering (1996) from the Universidade de Vigo, Prof. Fernando Aguado is currently Full Professor at Signal Theory and Communication Department at Universidade de Vigo, and adjunct professor at Norwegian University of Science and Technology NTNU (Norway), supporting the ‘Small Satellite Program’ since 2020, through an agreement between the UVigo and the NTNU. In addition, he has been responsible since 2016 for Space Projects at the Galician Aerospace Centre (CINAE). His main areas of interest are systems engineering for space communications of small satellites and constellations of small satellites.
As responsible of space activities at the UVigo and CINAE, he has coordinated different projects: XaTcobeo, HUMSAT, FemtoXat, sector B of the SERPENS satellite, DustCube, LUME-1 and WiPTherm.
Prof. Aguado was recognized as Pontevedrés of the 2012 year in the category of Science and University. Since 2018 Prof. Aguado is a Full Member Academician at the International Astronautic Academy (IAA).
