Telecommunications Engineer (1996) and  Ph.D. (2000) from the University of Vigo. Throughout his career, his research has focused on experimental studies of radio wave propagation, particularly in recent years on wave propagation in vegetated, rural, or generally complex environments. He has also worked on environmental aspects of radiofrequency systems, including the control and reduction of electromagnetic pollution. He became an Associate Professor in 2006 and is currently a Full Professor at the University (since 2012) in the Department of Signal Theory and Communications, where he has been the Director since 2023. He served as the Director of the School of Telecommunications Engineering, where he has been teaching since 2000, from 2015 to 2021. He has supervised 6 doctoral theses and is a co-author of over 90 articles in scientific journals and more than 120 contributions to international conferences, as well as several books. Additionally, he serves as a reviewer for various journals, including Proceedings of the IEEE, IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Transactions on Broadcasting, IET Microwaves, Antennas and Propagation, IET Sonar Radar and Navigation, etc.
