Marcos Curty received his M.Sc. and Ph.D in Telecommunication Engineering from Vigo University in 1999 and 2004, respectively. In 2001 he joined the Quantum Information Theory Group at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg and obtained a Ph.D in theoretical Physics (2006). After postdoc positions at Toronto University and at the Institute for Quantum Computing, Waterloo University (Canada), he was Assistant Professor at the department of Electronic and Communications Engineering at Zaragoza University (Spain). Currently, he is full Professor at the department of Theory of Signal and Communications at Vigo University. His research interest lies in quantum communication, particularly quantum cryptography. He is co-author of about hundred scientific publications in this field and a few patents. He coordinates the MSCA doctoral network Quantum-Safe Internet.
