She obtained her PhD in Telecommunication Engineering in 1996 from the University of Vigo. In 1991, she joined the Department of Signal Theory and Communications at the University of Vigo as an associate professor and has been an associate Professor since 1997. She has taught various courses related to applied electromagnetism and radio waves (Electromagnetic Transmission, Antennas, Terrestrial and Satellite Radio Links, etc.). She has participated in and led research projects on antenna design for various applications and in different frequency bands, as well as the development of electromagnetic analysis tools for engineering problem-solving. Her current research interests focus on polarimetry, phased array antennas, and multi-beam antennas.
